Supporting your child to build skills for everyday life

Being a parent can feel overwhelming when everyday things are hard for your child.

Pencils & Paper supports pre-school and early primary-aged children who may be finding parts of daily life challenging.

Children may need support with a range of everyday skills, including:

  • Handwriting and pencil grip

  • Using scissors and completing craft tasks

  • Coordination and movement

  • Sensory processing

  • Following routines at home, kinder and school

Our goal is to make everyday tasks feel easier, so your child can join in, feel confident, and enjoy learning, playing and being with others.

Handwriting & Fine Motor

Support with pencil grip, letter formation, and using tools such as scissors with confidence.

Following Instructions

Developing skills to understand and complete multi-step tasks at home, kinder and school

These challenges can impact how children learn, play and participate in everyday life. Occupational therapy helps break tasks down, build skills, and make daily routines feel more manageable for both children and families.

What We Help With

Children don’t need a diagnosis for you to reach out. We focus on the real-life challenges you see at home, kinder and school.

Coordination & Movement

Building physical foundations needed for running, playing, and participating in everyday activities.

Sensory Processing

Supporting children who may be sensitive to, or seek out, sensory input, and helping them manage their responses in everyday situations.

Attention & Concentration

Supporting children to stay engaged, follow through with tasks, and manage attention during learning and play.

Daily  Routines

Supporting everyday activities such as getting dressed, mealtimes and transitions.
